NuData Trigger MFA node

The NuData Trigger MFA node checks the NuData score response for an MFA signal and routes the journey to trigger MFA when NuData recommends it.

Example

The following example shows how to use the NuData Trigger MFA node to route high-risk sign-on attempts into an MFA challenge:

Journey using the NuData nodes
  • The NuData Initialize node loads the NuData SDK and the NuData Score node returns the risk level for the sign-on attempt.

  • A Red score outcome from the NuData Score node routes the journey to the NuData Trigger MFA node, which checks the score response for the mfa_signal value.

Inputs

This node reads the following from the shared state:

  • nuDataScoreResponse: the NuData score and other risk analysis data, written by the NuData Score node.

Dependencies

The node requires a NuData Score node earlier in the journey. The score response supplies the mfa_signal value that this node checks.

Configuration

This node has no configurable properties.

Outputs

This node doesn’t change the shared state.

Callbacks

This node doesn’t send any callbacks.

Outcomes

The node has the following outcomes:

Trigger MFA

NuData returned an mfa_signal value in the score response, indicating the user should be challenged with MFA.

Next

The score response contained no mfa_signal value.

Error

An error occurred while processing the NuData score response.

Errors

This node doesn’t log any error or warning messages of its own.
