Configure audit settings in any of these ways:

Edit your project’s conf/audit.json file.
Use the REST interface, at the openidm/config/audit context path.
Use the legacy admin UI.

To view audit events, export your data using the JSON audit event handler to a third-party audit framework, such as Elastic Stack.
