PingAccess

Managing extended properties

Configure extended properties to provide additional information about PingAccess applications.

Extended properties that you configure on the Settings > System > Extended Properties page become available to all PingAccess applications. Whenever you create or update an application afterward, you can define values for any of the configured extended properties relevant to that application.

Defining extended properties

Steps

  1. In the PingAccess admin console, go to Settings > System > Extended Properties and click + Add Property.

  2. Enter information into the Extended Properties table as follows:

    1. In the Name field, enter a unique name for the property.

    2. (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description for the extended property.

    3. If the extended property should allow multiple values, select the Multivalued checkbox.

      • If you create a single-valued property initially, you can select the Multivalued checkbox later without any issues.

      • If you configure a multivalued property initially and want to clear the Multivalued checkbox later, you must reconfigure every application that has multiple values configured for that extended property first.

    4. Click Save.

  3. To create more properties, click + Add Property and repeat step 2 as necessary.

Next steps

After creating an extended property, you must apply it to each application you want to use it with. Configure the Extended Properties tab of each application as described in Applying extended properties to applications.
