Installation requirements

Before installing Delegated Admin, you must install and configure the following components:

  • The PingDirectory server

  • Your chosen identity provider (IdP)

Product Description Supported versions

PingDirectory server

Stores user-identity data. The HTTPS port that was configured during PingDirectory server setup is required to install Delegated Admin.

PingFederate server

You must configure the following OAuth clients within PingFederate:

Provides identities for authentication and authorization.

PingFederate 9.0.0 or later

Other OIDC providers

You must configure an OIDC client for Delegated Admin on the OIDC provider. Learn more in Configuring other OIDC identity providers.

The location where you choose to install Delegated Admin affects some of the installation steps. Learn more in Completing the installation.

You can install Delegated Admin in any of the following locations:

  • A PingDirectory server, including replicated instances

  • A PingDirectoryProxy server

  • An external web server
