Configuring a device lock policy

Determine whether the authenticating device must have its lock feature enabled for it to be allowed for PingID authentication.

About this task

For iOS authenticating devices, the device lock requirement can only be implemented on iOS8 devices and up. iOS7 devices with this policy will be denied with the message Cannot pair. Device doesn’t meet policy. Device lock is disabled.

Steps

  1. In the PingID admin portal, go to Setup → PingID → DEVICE & PAIRING. A screen capture of the Device Requirements section and the Select a Condition menu.

  2. In the DEVICE REQUIREMENTS section, click Add. From the Select a Condition menu, select Device Lock. A screen capture of the Device Requirements section with a device lock rule configured.

  3. Click Save.
