OneSpan settings

OneSpan is a third-party risk-based authentication provider that Advanced Identity Cloud integrates with to help reduce fraud, improve end user experience, and meet compliance requirements.

It uses OneSpan Intelligent Adaptive Authentication (IAA) to assess risk during authentication and step-up transactions, allowing you to apply the right level of friction based on the risk of each interaction.

You must have a OneSpan account to use this integration.

Before you begin

Before configuring OneSpan in Advanced Identity Cloud, ensure you have the following:

  • A OneSpan Developer Community account with access to the OneSpan sandbox.

  • Your OneSpan IAA username and application reference identifier.

  • Your target environment. For example sdb (sandbox) for development and testing, or prod for production.

Configure OneSpan settings

  1. In the Advanced Identity Cloud admin console, go to verified_user Authentication > Identity Verification.

  2. Click OneSpan.

  3. If OneSpan is not already enabled, click Enable OneSpan to create it with default settings before configuring it.

  4. Configure the following settings:

    OneSpan IAA Username

    The username associated with your OneSpan IAA account.

    OneSpan IAA Environment

    The OneSpan IAA environment to connect to.

    Select one of the following:

    • sdb: For development and testing.

    • prod: For production.

    • Sandbox: For development and testing.

    • Production_NA1, Production_EU1, Production_EU2: Production environments by region.

    • Staging_NA1, Staging_EU1, Staging_EU2: Staging environments by region.

    • UAT_EU1: UAT environment in the EU1 region.

    • CUSTOMIZED: Use a custom URL. If you select this option, enter the URL in the Custom URL field.

    customURL

    The URL for OneSpan API calls when OneSpan IAA environment is set to CUSTOMIZED.

    Application Reference

    A unique identifier for this application in your OneSpan setup.

    This value is configured in your OneSpan account and is used to associate authentication events with your application.

    ASP Public Key

    The application service provider’s public key, used to verify signatures from OneSpan.

    ASP Private Key

    The application service provider’s private key, used to sign requests sent to OneSpan.

  5. Click Save.
