Assigning a license

If you have more than one active license, use the Licenses page to change the association between your environments and your licenses.

A license can be associated with multiple environments, but an environment can be associated with only one license.

Steps

  • To view the environments to which license is currently assigned to, click the license entry to open the license details panel and click Environments.

    The license details can help you determine if you need to purchase separate PingOne solutions, such as one for workforce and one for external customers.

  • To reassign licenses, click the More Options (⋮) icon and then select a different license.

    PingOne allows you to reassign an environment to a license that doesn’t contain enough services to downgrade when services are no longer needed.

    A warning appears if you choose a license that includes fewer services than the environment is currently using.

    You can select Reassign to proceed with the new license or Cancel to keep your current settings.

    Each license supports a specific limit on the number of environments that can be associated with it at any given time. A warning appears when attempting to reassign an environment to a license when you exceed that limit.

  • To view the license assigned to an environment on the Environments page, go to Settings > Environment Properties.
