Setting up an LDAP gateway

Set up an LDAP gateway connection by configuring a gateway in PingOne and downloading a gateway instance to run on-premise, adjacent to the LDAP directory.

To set up a gateway:

Steps

  1. Add an LDAP gateway.

  2. Add a user type.

  3. Start a gateway instance.

  4. Verify a gateway instance.

  5. (Optional) Create an authentication policy that uses a gateway.

  6. (Optional) Add an authentication policy to an application.

    If you’re using Microsoft Active Directory (AD), you can also set up Kerberos authentication.
