The following is the change history for the Remember Me Verifier and Manager adapters bundled with the PingOne MFA Integration Kit.

PingOne MFA Remember Me Manager Adapter

We’ve released a new version of the PingOne MFA Remember Me Manager Adapter, including the following changes:

Added the Remember Device Mode setting, which controls how devices are remembered:
- User Managed: After the user successfully authenticates, they choose whether to remember the device. This is the default.
- Admin Managed: The device is remembered automatically after successful authentication, without showing the user a consent prompt.
Dynamic MFA policy support: To enforce risk-based access policies alongside MFA, you can now chain the PingOne Protect integration kit with the PingOne MFA Remember Me Manager Adapter. When PingOne Protect is placed earlier in the PingFederate authentication policy chain, it can now dynamically tell the Remember Me Manager adapter which MFA policy to enforce for that specific authentication.
Added support for an LDAP data source to retrieve the corresponding user details from the LDAP for the username provided in the chained attribute.
Added Last Authentication Method (LAM) support: The Remember Me Manager Adapter now passes the LAM that was used as the MFA method during the current session to PingOne when creating a Remember Me device.

We’ve released a new version of the PingOne MFA Remember Me Verifier Adapter, including the following changes:

The Verifier adapter calls PingOne, and PingOnechecks whether the Lam associated with the Remm me device is allowed.

Last Authentication Method (LAM) verified by PingOne policy. The Verifier adapter calls the PingOne endpoint. PingOne checks the LAM against PingOne MFA policy, and if it isn’t allowed the user is prompted to authenticate again.
MFA policy respected for existing Remember Me devices: During an authentication attempt, the PingOne MFA Remember Me Verifier Adapter now invokes the PingOne API to determine whether the current browser is still remembered. If the LAM is not allowed by the MFA policy, Remember Me verification fails, prompting the user to perform MFA again. This ensures changes to the MFA policy are respected for existing Remember devices.
Dynamic MFA policy support: To enforce risk-based access policies alongside MFA, you can now chain the PingOne Protect integration kit with the PingOne MFA Remember Me Verifier Adapter. When PingOne Protect is placed earlier in the PingFederate authentication policy chain, it can now dynamically tell the Remember Me Verifier adapter which MFA policy to enforce for that specific authentication attempt.
