Configuring single sign-on

To allow PingFederate to act as an identity provider for ServiceNow, configure SSO, exchange signing certificates, and create a connection.

About this task

Single sign-on integration is an optional part of this integration. If you only want to use the ServiceNow Provisioner for provisioning, skip these steps.

Steps

  1. In ServiceNow, install the SSO integration plugin.

    For official documentation, see Activate and set up SAML 2.0 in the ServiceNow documentation.

    1. In your ServiceNow instance, go to System Definition → Plugins.

    2. Click Integration - Multiple Provider Single Sign-On Installer.

    3. On the Integration - Multiple Provider Single Sign-On Installer detail screen, in the Related Links section, click Activate/Repair.

    4. On the Activate Plugin dialog, click Activate.

    5. After the installation finishes, click Close & Reload Form.

  4. Complete the steps in Creating a single sign-on connection.
