TruValidate Integration Kit

Transaction insight parameters

When a user signs on, TruValidate can collect optional transaction data along with the device profile. In the TruValidate Intelligence Center, you can use these transaction insight parameters in business rules to affect risk results.

The TruValidate IdP Adapter allows you to take attributes from previous authentication sources in your PingFederate authentication policy and send them to TruValidate as transaction insight parameters.

For example, on the first-factor authentication page, you collect the user’s security PIN type. Then, in your TruValidate IdP Adapter instance, you map the PIN type attribute to the TruValidate securityPinType parameter. This allows you to create a business rule that considers certain PIN types to be higher risk.

You can find a complete list of transaction insight parameters you can populate in Transaction Insight Fields in the TruValidate Help Center (sign-on required).
